April is National Pickleball Month, and we have something truly special planned!
To celebrate this fantastic sport, the Space Coast Pickleball community and our amazing teaching pros are thrilled to announce a special event on April 19th at Jimmy Moore! We've secured six courts from 8 am to 1 pm for an unforgettable day of pickleball fun.
Big thanks to Chris Cymbolin & Kristin Swenson for getting county approval, and we're proud to say this event is sanctioned by the USAP! Here's what we have in store:
• Attendees will be grouped into four to 6 players based on their skill level.
• We'll have six groups rotating across six courts during a session, after the hour training we will have a court IQ session.
• Each court will have a Pro assigned to it, focusing on a single skill.
• After completing a full cycle, attendees will have had seven sessions with seven different Pros, learned new skills, meet local Pros, and connect with others at your skill level.
• We'll then repeat the process with another session.
Just in case you were wondering:
- How much is this event?
• To show our appreciation to Pickleball and the Space Coast Pickleball Community everyone has donated their time and resources so this will be offered at no cost to the attendees!
· Who are the Pro Instructor’s?
• Griselda Allen, Steve Allen, Prem Carnot, Casey Collins, Angelina Edel, Mike Forster, Sabrina Korpi, Scott Nelson, Caden Roy, Mimi Wright
- Any other services being offered?
• Alex Roger Piotrowski from Impact Performance Physical Therapy has volunteered to participate. She will have attendees perform 2-3 functional movements and provide feedback on areas of focus for mobility or strength that could help you feel better while playing. This is getting better and better!
- Will demo paddles be available?
• Space Coast Nate and Royal Pickleball will have demo paddles available for you to try and as always be happy to discuss paddle selections.
